Pay Rate: $25.00 - $27.00 Per hour

Responsibilities:

• Perform delegated duties related to the comfort and personal needs of the patients with consideration of their developmental needs.
• These activities may include ADL(s), EKGS, Finger Sticks, Foley (insertion/care/removal), sterile technique, IV care, nutritional support, patient mobility, vital signs, changing beds, replenishing room supplies and assisting healthcare team with specific treatments and/or procedures.
• Communicate with patients, families, and Nursing staff and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
• Reads and interprets equipment readings, in conjunction with patient information.
• Knowledgeable of operating parameters of patient care equipment.
• Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, radiation and pharmacological agents.
• Work requires standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.
• Work requires lifting and/or positioning patients and transporting wheelchairs, beds and related equipment.
• Work requires manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform delegated patient care procedures.
• Work may require contact with aggressive and/or combative patients.
• Employees in this position will be required to adhere to work availability and unit scheduling requirements.
