Warehouse Operations Manager

This role leads day-to-day warehouse operations for a fast-growing distribution facility, serving as the primary point of contact for a hands-on team focused on pick, pack, and ship of specialty chemical and aerospace materials.

Directly supervise a team of 12-15 warehouse staff, managing workloads, setting clear goals, assessing performance, and maintaining consistent communication to drive throughput, accuracy, and compliance.

Oversee all receiving, inventory management, order pulling, packaging, and shipping activities, including domestic and international freight coordination.

Enforce safety standards, PPE requirements, hazardous materials handling protocols, and 6S Program compliance across the facility at all times.

Maintain adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, including development and approval of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.

Respond promptly to nonconformances, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Support and sustain AS9100/AS9120 certification through proper documentation, process standardization, and minimization of process variation.

Coordinate freight carrier activity, file inbound and outbound freight claims, and stop shipments that do not meet stated quality requirements.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100/AS9120 quality standards.

Working knowledge of FedEx, UPS, common carrier, and international shipping systems and requirements, including IATA, air shipments, and hazardous materials.

Experience managing warehouse distribution operations in aerospace, chemical, food distribution, or pharmaceutical industries.

Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret metrics, monitor KPIs, and act on findings to improve operational performance.

Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required export authorization in compliance with ITAR regulations.

D.O.T. 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and IATA Hazmat Training certification.

Valid forklift operator license or training certification.

CDL with Hazardous Material endorsement.

Six Sigma certification, Green Belt or higher, Black Belt strongly preferred.

Familiarity with ocean freight and export shipping to the Pacific Rim.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
