About the Role

As an Audit & Assurance Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while leading engagement teams and overseeing the delivery of high-quality assurance services. This role provides the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, mentor emerging professionals, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Lead audit, review, and assurance engagements from planning through completion, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with professional standards.

Manage engagement budgets, staffing, timelines, and client deliverables while meeting profitability and service expectations.

Review financial statements, workpapers, and engagement documentation, providing technical guidance and support to engagement teams.

Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance engagement effectiveness and client service.

Mentor, develop, and supervise staff through coaching, delegation, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.

Build and maintain strong client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor and communicating complex issues in a clear, practical manner.

Assist clients in resolving accounting, auditing, and business challenges by providing sound recommendations and solutions.

Collaborate with firm leadership and other service areas to identify opportunities to expand client relationships and support business development efforts.

Participate in networking, professional organizations, and community activities that enhance the firm's visibility and growth.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Active CPA license required 5+ years of public accounting experience, including audit and assurance engagements Demonstrated experience leading engagement teams and managing multiple client relationships Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and financial reporting requirements Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Commitment to mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative culture This position is based in our Mobile, AL office and is expected to work primarily in office to support collaboration, team development, and client service.
