Senior Procurement Manager

The Enterprise Services Procurement team is looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to lead a team of talented procurement professionals across a variety of commodities to support RTX. The successful candidate will supervise a virtual team responsible for the procurement of various goods and services across many commodities in support of the businesses.

What You Will Do

  • Execution of long-term strategy and vision of organization through team leadership and collaboration
  • Develop strategies and influence performance results on key metrics to drive efficiencies
  • Escalation path for customers, stakeholders and engage in problem resolution
  • Provide oversight and daily direction to Procurement professionals and leaders
  • Assess team and individual performance and provide feedback and coaching
  • Organize workload across the team, assign backlog, problem solve and handle escalations for negotiations and various issues
  • Review purchase order documentation against work instructions and policy
  • Influence stakeholders in and outside of organization on policies, practices, and procedures
  • Increase knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams
  • Streamline procurement processes, remove barriers, and support internal customer requirements, utilize metrics to implement improvements
  • Act as a valued business partner to provide solutions, alternative approaches, and reduce cost impacts to the business
  • Track, report, and present to leadership on projects, team metrics, etc.
  • Generate a strong focus on customer relationships while motivating team members on delivering internal objectives
  • Promote a culture of high performance and innovation, to attract, develop and retain top talent and achieve business objectives
  • Drive change management and transformation initiatives
  • Mentor, train & develop team for career progression

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business management, engineering or a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience. Master's degree or MBA is a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous supervisory experience leading a team of professionals
  • Experience working in supply chain compliance, procurement, and supplier management

Work Location: This is a hybrid role, eligible candidates must reside within commuting distance of Richardson, TX, Farmington, CT, Cedar Rapids, IA, Andover, MA, McKinney, TX or Tucson, AZ.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
