What will I be doing? As Design Manager, you'll be managing and leading project design from concept to completion, bridging the gap between creative ideas and tangible results, to deliver functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces and locations, while ensuring smooth collaboration across multiple stakeholders throughout the project life-cycle.
As Design Manager you'll have the following experience from within hospitality or retail :
Strong Property Design knowledge including understanding cost efficient and technical buildable design methodology. Property Project Management knowledge including the RIBA Stages of Work and programme management Good understanding of the Marketing function including translation of Marketing Proposition and brand strategy into detailed Design Briefs. Good understanding of the Operational function including practical application of the design after delivery that meets both operational efficiencies and enhances guest experience. At least 3 years' experience in Construction Design / Interior Design within the hospitality / retail environment, with specific focus on technical buildability, quality, programme and cost control. Experience of leading development projects from conception to completion, particularly within design. Proficiency in MS Office programmes (word, excel, ppt, teams, etc) and CAD software systems.
As Warner Hotels Design Manager you'll be focusing on : Project Management: • Being responsible for the entire Design Process of a Development Project from concept to completion. • Translating the Brand Proposition from the Marketing & Experience Team and formulate this into a workable Design Brief that is understood by the External Consultant Design Team. • Ensuring that the Staged Gateway Approvals are achieved in a timely manner and all design changes are controlled. • Ensuring timelines, budgets and resources are managed. • Prepare reports and presentations, as required, to communicate progress, updates, internal messaging and reporting needs.
Cross Functional Collaboration: • Leading close cross-functional collaboration between external design teams and internal functions (particularly marketing and operations) to ensure design briefs are aligned to business strategy, operationally efficient and can be delivered within budget and resources.
