Act as IT Lead within a POD, owning end-to-end technical delivery and engineering excellence to drive T&D Modernisation initiatives. Provide technical and people leadership for a T&D Engineering group, building and leading high-performing AI / ML and data engineering teams. Design, build, and scale enterprise-grade AI, machine learning, and data platforms, including data pipelines and MLOps capabilities, fully integrated with enterprise master data systems. Define and influence broad-based technology strategy across large IT domains, embedding an AI-first and agile engineering mindset while ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and risk mitigation. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Significant experience in software engineering, with deep expertise in AI, machine learning, and data engineering. Proven experience leading large-scale backend, data, or AI platforms in complex enterprise environments; financial services experience is a plus. Extensive experience with multi-platform development environments, modern cloud architectures, data pipelines, and integration with enterprise systems. Demonstrated ability to understand business impact and interdependencies of strategic IT decisions and to influence senior stakeholders effectively. People leadership experience, including leading senior engineers and technical leads in agile delivery models, mentoring talent, and fostering a strong engineering culture. Benefits
