Job Title Product Data Analyst III Location San Diego, CA (On‑site / Hybrid aligned with business needs) Job Summary As a result of the combination of the BD Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions business with Waters Corporation, this role is a Product Data Analyst III position focused on Bioscience master data and processes. The analyst supports data transition and integration activities, collaborates with Operations, Data Integration, and New Product Development teams, and ensures the accuracy and integrity of SAP master data for product introductions and ongoing operations. Key Responsibilities Execute end‑to‑end data integration activities, including SAP data extraction, SAP S/4HANA data loads, data transformation, validation, and reconciliation. Maintain integrity of SAP ECC/SCM master data and other systems such as Halfpipe/PLM. Participate in Master Data and Enterprise Data Governance teams and work with BPE teams to ensure consistency of master data initiatives across the Biosciences business. Conduct and coordinate training of associates in required techniques, SAP transactions, and documentation procedures. Assist in development, maintenance, and communication of metrics, workflow tools, and reports to support continuous improvement. Communicate with and support regional affiliates to resolve product master data issues. Perform regular checks in system to identify master data issues (incorrect material setup, BOMs, Routings, Financial master data, etc.) and work with coordinators and SMEs to correct issues. Maintain KPIs and dashboards of master data issues and report progress. Proactively manage workload, prioritize tasks, and recommend corrective actions. Lead the transition of the master data services team, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and adherence to defined service level agreements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, or business discipline. Minimum 2‑4 years of experience using the SAP system. 5+ years overall experience, including 1‑2 years of project management experience and 3‑5 years of business experience in a medical, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environment, or equivalent. Experience across end‑to‑end product development and data integration projects or NPI processes. Demonstrated success operating in cross‑functional, matrixed organizations. Skills & Competencies Experience in SAP design/implementation with knowledge of SAP master data and material number assignment systems. Strong knowledge of reagents and instruments manufacturing processes with focus on master data accuracy. Familiarity with new product introduction processes and SAP data requirements. Strong knowledge of reporting functionality, SAP BI and Power BI, and ability to extract a wide variety of data reports. Knowledgeable of structured documentation and change control systems (ECO process), tools for process improvement, and regulatory requirements (GMP, FDA, ISO 9000). Experience with data automation tools such as Innowera or Winshuttle. Experience with Halfpipe/PLM application is preferred. Effective interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking, time management, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to analyze and follow up on problems related to master data issues. Ability to develop, apply, and maintain current processes and guidelines related to SAP master data governance. Preferred Experience Experience in reagents, assays, diagnostics, or clinical product development. Exposure to regulated environments and Design Control concepts.
