Über
- Typically responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area.
- Ensure staff is knowledgeable on the applications and technologies in use on the project and that project team understands and follows processes and procedures. - Provide detailed direction during various stages of the lifecycle to include requirements analysis, testing, and potentially programming support. - Identify and assess new functional capabilities supporting engineering change proposals and additional follow on work. - Identify, track, manage, and communicate risks and issues with stakeholders and upper management. - Coordinate, prepare, and manage technical presentations and functional demonstrations to internal and external stakeholders.
Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and coach Agile teams: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to promote effective team collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Owners, technical leads, QA, business operations, shared services, and client-facing teams to align priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Tracking and Reporting: Provide project and team performance metrics including status, risks, issues, dependencies, blockers, velocity, burnup/burndown, milestones, and decisions clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
- Impediment Removal: Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder the team's progress, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to team members on Agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and report on team performance metrics ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Agile Advocacy: Promote Agile values and principles within the organization, driving adoption and adherence to Agile methodologies.
- Continuous Improvement: Encourage and facilitate process improvements to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 7+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- 7+ years of project management, Scrum Master, or Agile delivery experience.
- 3+ years facilitating Scrum ceremonies for software development or IT delivery teams.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or Agile teams.
- Experience creating project plans, status reports, RAID logs, and executive-level updates.
- Experience working with technical teams, business stakeholders, QA, systems analysts, and production support teams.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I, SAFe Scrum Master, PMP, PMI-ACP.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Ability to communicate project health, risks, and dependencies to technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, teams, or workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
