Engineering & Major Projects (EMP)isresponsibleforthe efficient delivery of major projects and engineering solutionsrequired by ESB and its customers to lead the transition to reliable, affordable, low carbon energy at home and internationally.
As an Engineering Technician, you will lead the production of high-quality drawings and graphical information supporting renewable and flexible generation projects across their full lifecycle.

- you willplay a key roleindeliveringcriticalgenerationinfrastructure.
Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Prepare2D & 3D drawings,mapsand documentationtoahighstandardin coordination with team members and stakeholdersacross multipledepartments.
Provide inputsto designsbyidentifyingrequired changes andimprovements andmaking recommendations to design engineers andprojectteams.
Developsite layout drawings based onsurveydata.
Producedrawings foreach project stage includingplanning applications,fortenderissue,forconstructionissue,and "as built".
Coordinatewiththeproject teamincluding engineers,architects,quantity surveyorsand project managerstoensuredrawingsmeetprojectrequirements.
Applyexpertisein engineering drafting tools such as AutoCAD (and relatedplatforms).
Preparereinforced concrete, structural steel general arrangement drawings and rebar bending schedules.
Experience and Qualifications Essential Level 7 qualification in Civil Engineering Technology (or equivalent), or relevant experience.
Minimum of3years'relevantpost-qualification experience.
Strongproficiencyin one or more of:AutoCAD,Civil 3D, Cads RC for RC detailing and scheduling,orRevit.
Experience producing work in compliance with company QA/QC procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to workindependentlyandmeet tightdeadlines.
Ability tocollaborateand share knowledge within a teamenvironment.
Organised,adaptable withflexibleapproach to work.
Desirable Experienceofenergy infrastructure projects.
Proficiencyin anadditionalrelevant software package.
Full driving license and access to a car.
Strongprioritisationandorganisationalskills.
Experience working withandinterrogating point cloud data.
Location This position will be based inEMPofficeslocatedatthe Sidings,Dublin 2,oratEastgate, Cork.
