The Analytics Agent team at Tableau is building the next generation of AI-powered analytics — helping customers see, understand, and act on their data through groundbreaking agentic experiences. As a Lead Software Engineer on this team, you will work at the forefront of agentic application development, building multi-modal products and tools that transform how people engage with data. This role is based in Bellevue, WA and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact at the intersection of AI and enterprise analytics. What You'll Actually Be Doing Build and ship high-quality, production-grade software using modern engineering practices, with AI as a core part of your development workflow. Design and orchestrate scalable, high-performance agentic systems. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to rapidly iterate on generative AI products and prototypes. Contribute to building and maintaining the shared system context. You're Our Person If... You have expertise shaping experiences with LLMs and agents. You have strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages. You have experience with modern software development practices. You critically evaluate code for correctness, quality, security, and performance. A related technical degree is required. Even Better If...
