Cashier

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Greet the customers with "Bienvenido's" and a smile
2. Entering food orders using cash register POS System
3. Handling cash and credit transactions.
4. Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift, accept cash and return the correct change.
5. Maintain a well-stocked salsa bar, drink cup lids, and napkins before and after shift, clean dining room, and cashier station
6. Maintain beverage fridges stocked and clean
7. Upsell products sides, drinks, aguas frescas, etc.
8. Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant and follow all food safety and health & safety guidelines
9. Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
10. Take pride in serving guests and providing exceptional customer service
11. Completes other duties as assigned by the MOD (Manager on Duty)

Requirements

• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a customer service role is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Good math skills
• Basic PC knowledge
• Ability to handle cash and credit transactions
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Uphold the company's mission, vision, and values
• Ability to multitask and prioritize task

Hourly rate = $18/hr. + tips
