PHLEBOTOMIST

Essential job functions include demonstrating competency in Laboratory Information System (LIS) functions, following standard precautions when performing phlebotomy, assuring the correct identification of patient and specimen, and maintaining operational readiness to provide prompt response to service requests.

Competency and experience required include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Training Program or six months experience performing phlebotomy, and knowledge of coding, basic math, and payer/insurance benefits.

Position type/expected hours of work include being scheduled based on operational need, with possible travel between system locations.
