Completes coding and posting of charges for all provider specialties and payer types utilizing the patient encounter information as directed by physicians and medical records notes. Completes coding and posting for all hospital related visits and surgeries. Have a comprehensive understanding of coding rules and regulations by CMS, AMA, ADA and Medicaid. Conducts coding audits and reports feedback back to clinicians for educational and compliance purposes.
Requirements
High School Diploma Certified Professional Coder certification (CPC or CPC-A) Must maintain CEUs for CPC certification Must reside in Illinois Must live within a 50-mile radius of Carterville, Illinois
Starting salary - $18-$19.10 Full-time employee benefits include:
12 vacation days earned in the first year 11 paid personal days/holidays per calendar year 6 sick days earned per year Retirement plan with 3% company contribution after becoming eligible in the plan (a matching contribution by the employee is not required to receive this benefit). Additional profit-sharing contributions to the retirement plan are possible.
