Overview of Unit/Department 900 East is a 30-bed adult medical-surgical unit specializing in post-operative care for gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) surgical patients. We are also proud to be recognized as a Center of Excellence for bariatric surgery. Our unit features a combination of private and semi-private rooms designed for comfort and healing. While we do not offer telemetry or cardiac monitoring, our dedicated team provides high-quality, patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on collaboration and teamwork. Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates Up to $1,800 Sign-On BonusUp to 24 hours of front-loaded Paid Time OffUp to $3,000 Relocation bonusCareer Ladder up to $1 Nurse Assistant Trainee Program Job Summary Functions within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. While in the clinical learning environment, will provide basic patient care under direction and supervision of clinical educator and nursing staff. During clinical rotation, may perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens and other duties within their scope of practice as directed. While in clinical setting, obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff or clinical educator and reports any changes in patient condition. At the end of the training, a competency assessment will be administered to validate learning. Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience Preferred: Prior patient care or health care related experience Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExhibits valuable time management skillsStrong analytical/problem solving skills.Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.Is available for work on a consistent and timely basisConscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks Licensure/Certification/Registration BLS must be obtained within 90 days Nurse Assistant Job Summary Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
