Salary: $180,000 Per Year

Position Summary

The Executive Director provides comprehensive operational leadership and strategic oversight for our addiction recovery and mental health facilities. This role is designed for a high-level administrator who excels in organizational health, financial performance, and team accountability within the SUD (Substance Use Disorder) and MHRS (Mental Health Rehabilitation Services) space. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall success of the programs, ensuring they remain compliant, sustainable, and centered on high-quality patient outcomes for individuals with co-occurring disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Lead the daily business operations of multiple facility sites, ensuring consistent excellence and adherence to behavioral health organizational standards .

  • Strategic Management: Directly manage the heads of the Clinical, Quality, and Medical departments. You will foster a culture of collaboration and hold department leads accountable for clinical performance metrics , safety standards, and patient-centered care.

  • Financial & Resource Oversight: Manage P&L, annual budgets, and resource allocation to meet organizational goals, specifically navigating the unique reimbursement landscapes of SUD and mental health services .

  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Partner with the Quality and Compliance team to ensure all sites exceed state licensing and national accreditation standards (CARF/Joint Commission ), specifically regarding ASAM criteria and behavioral health regulations.

  • Stakeholder & Family Liaison: Serve as the senior point of contact for complex family interactions, community stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring a compassionate yet professional resolution to high-level concerns regarding recovery and dual-diagnosis care .

  • Personnel Leadership: Drive recruitment and retention strategies for providers and management staff, fostering a trauma-informed workplace culture.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of senior leadership experience specifically within Behavioral Health, SUD treatment, or Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (MHRS) .

  • Specialized Knowledge: Deep understanding of the continuum of care in addiction recovery, including detox, residential, and outpatient modalities.

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success managing multiple operational sites or complex, multi-departmental organizations with high-acuity patient populations.

  • Operational Acumen: Strong proficiency in budget management, data-driven decision-making, and navigating behavioral health billing and compliance .

  • Leadership Style: A "leader of leaders" approach—the ability to mentor and manage specialized professionals (LCDCs, LPCs, Medical Directors) while maintaining a focus on the business’s strategic health.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, Psychology, or a related field (extensive executive experience in the SUD/MHRS field may be considered in lieu of a degree).
