Additional Compensation: $5,400 in stipends + $2,500 CTE stipend (prorated based on FTE and start date)
Calendar: 1960 for new hires or 1961 for returning teachers

Performance Pay: Available annually
New Hire Experience Credit: $400 for each full‑time year of certified teaching or verified experience, max $2,800; National Board Certification $3,000 annually
New Hire Education Credit: $80/hour of graduate level credits: BA up to 96 hours, MA up to 96 hours; $1,250 for first advanced degree, $500 for each additional advanced degree
Job Goal The primary goal is to equip students with the practical skills necessary to learn how to design software and applications.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid State of Arizona CTE Teaching Certificate – Industrial and Emerging Technologies, Specialized Career and Technical Education Industrial and Emerging Technologies, Business and Marketing, or Specialized Career and Technical Education Business and Marketing.
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Broad knowledge of computer science, hardware, and software applications.
Information Technology Specialist – Java preferred.
Experience with Career and Technical Education is desired.
Knowledge of instructional practices that support student‑centered learning.
Core Job Functions
Demonstrate expertise in Software & App Design (Computer Science).
Oversee a Career and Technical Student Organization (FBLA or SkillsUSA).
Develop and work with advisory committees and stakeholders.
Participate in recruitment needs for the program.
Plan and implement a program of study tailored to student needs, interests, and abilities within district curriculum.
Use effective teaching techniques and materials to implement established curriculum goals.
Create weekly written lesson plans describing daily learning experiences, aligned with curriculum objectives.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
Diagnose, instruct, and evaluate specific student needs and seek assistance from district specialists as required.
Communicate objectives to students in an organized manner with clear language.
Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity and interests.
Assist administration in implementing student behavior policies and rules.
Develop and implement reasonable classroom rules and procedures fairly.
Provide educational experiences that develop personal, social, decision‑making, positive self‑image, and life skills.
Promote and adhere to school district philosophy, policies, regulations, and procedures.
Communicate concerns and ideas with colleagues, students, parents, and the community professionally.
Assume legal responsibility for student supervision on school property or school‑sponsored activities.
Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.
Assume additional responsibilities assigned by principal/supervisor such as committee work or student activities.
Maintain accurate, complete, legible records as required by law and district policy.
Takes precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Participate in department, school, district meetings and initiatives.
Meet any additional specific job requirements as indicated by the District or school site.
Physical Requirements
Involved physical activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, and sitting.
Requires manual dexterity, repetitive finger motion, speaking, hearing, seeing (with correction), and focusing ability.
May involve exposure to travel, odors, dust, poor ventilation, workspace restrictions, and loud noises.
May require lifting or exerting up to 40 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
