As our Neurology Physician Assistant , you will join our dynamic healthcare team in [Specify Location, e.g., Sacramento], specializing in diagnosing and treating nervous system disorders, making a significant impact on our patients' lives and families.
Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough neurological exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, certified, and compassionate Physician Assistant, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex neurological conditions, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.
- Conduct comprehensive neurological histories and physical exams to establish baselines and monitor disease progression.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as lumbar punctures, electromyography (EMGs), and neuro-imaging (e.g., MRIs, EEGs).
- Formulate, manage, and adjust treatment plans, including prescribing medications.
- Perform specialized procedures like nerve blocks or neurotoxin injections, adhering to established protocols.
- Act as a bridge between neurologists, nursing staff, physical therapists, and neurosurgeons to ensure coordinated care.
- Counsel patients and their families on disease management, prognosis, and medication side effects.
- Stay current with research and best practices in neurology to provide evidence-based care.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote awareness of neurological health issues.

Job RequirementsRequired
- Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of [Specify State].
- NCCPA Certification (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
