Senior Account Manager
The Senior Account Manager leads high-value and/or geographically diverse client accounts and is responsible for driving the strategic direction of client campaigns. This role involves managing complex projects and ensuring that client strategies are executed effectively to achieve business objectives. The Senior Account Manager also plays a key role in identifying opportunities for account growth and contributing to business development.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as the key point of client contact, collaborating closely with internal and external teams to meet client objectives.
- Developing a deep understanding of clients' business objectives and developing strategic marketing plans that meet their needs.
- Building and maintaining long-term client relationships and managing strategic interactions across key stakeholders.
- Providing strategic guidance to clients, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement in their marketing efforts.
- Conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform campaign strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Overseeing the quality assurance process across all client deliverables. Leading compliance initiatives to meet both client and industry standards.
- Championing innovative approaches to client challenges.
- Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization, with subject matter expert support.
- Developing and presenting comprehensive proposals and presentations to clients.
- Creating and executing account growth strategies for existing clients.
- Advocating for the needs and interests of clients within the agency, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Staying up to date on industry trends and changes in order to deliver additional value and strategic advice to clients.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Managing complex budgets across multiple client accounts, ensuring profitability and efficient allocation of resources.
- Managing the financial health of jobs, including performing regular budget checks and providing timely updates to the finance team where changes occur. Supporting the finance team by proactively managing billing plans, POs and invoicing in our project management system, Kantata.
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure timely, high quality project deliverables.
- Identifying and pursuing opportunities for account growth and upselling of additional services.
- Ensuring Fifth Ring processes and procedures are followed at all times.
- Being a robust defender of the agency's values, people and commercial interests.
Colleagues:
- Communicating clearly and proactively with colleagues to ensure alignment and support. Producing thorough and effective briefs to ensure colleagues are aligned on project outputs and outcomes.
- Supporting the business development team in developing new opportunities.
- Providing proactive support and updates to colleagues where necessary to ensure the smooth running of client projects and efficient and coherent service for clients.
- Providing support and guidance to junior team members.
- Working effectively with the Traffic Manager and delivery team members to ensure client requirements are being met and timelines and schedules are aligned.
- Supporting colleagues in all Fifth Ring locations through proactive consultation, creativity and visibility.
Other duties will be assigned as required and as appropriate.
