We are looking for a Business Development Manager. This position is a remote based role for the Midwest/Great Lakes region.
You'll make an impact by:
- Lead Sales & Achieve Quota: Establish and lead sales initiatives to meet bookings quota for Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Electrification & Automation - Customer Services (SI EA CS) across the south-central region.
- Drive Market Share Growth: Expand market share by developing opportunity pipelines, executing strategic account planning, and penetrating new customer accounts across industrial, utility, and commercial verticals.
- Proactive Customer Engagement: Engage early with target customers to influence technical specifications, drive acceptance of Siemens solutions, and identify opportunities through site walks.
- Present & Up-sell Solutions: Present the full-service portfolio, provide accurate commercial proposals, and collaborate to up-sell service and modernization solutions.
- Strategic Sales Process: Lead strategic engagement in proposal and sales processes, fostering collaboration across multiple Siemens sales channels.
- Manage Sales Pipeline & Forecast: Develop and execute strategic booking plans, maintain clean forecasting of opportunity pipelines, and present monthly sales pipelines using the SI-wide CRM tool.
- Generate Demand & Leads: Actively hunt for service sales leads, assist in demand generation for service portfolios on active projects, and promote the full-service offering.
- Support Product & Provide Training: Contribute to Product Life-Cycle Management (PLM) for future product development and provide comprehensive training on the SI EA CS portfolio to customers and internal sales channels.
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or business
- 5+ years' experience in sales or business development selling industrial equipment services or power distribution equipment
- Knowledge of power distribution equipment and application within a variety of market segments.
- Experience with commercial contract negotiations.
- Command of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, for detailed financial analysis and business evaluation with working knowledge of related office suite products required.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 40% of the time, domestically as required.
- Legally authorized to work in the USA without company sponsored VISA now or future

Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees. Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://www.benefitsquickstart.com/siemens/index.html The pay range for this position is $109,670 - $180,006 annually with a target incentive of 25 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
