As a Lead Product Designer for the Enterprise team, you will take ownership of UX strategy and design execution for RIB's established Enterprise product line, including the ongoing modernization of RIB 4.0 software. This role combines hands-on design expertise with leadership responsibilities such as mentoring, design ops, and driving alignment across teams and departments. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver intuitive, scalable, and user-centered improvements to a mature, business-critical platform. A key aspect of this role is close collaboration with the Head of UX – Unify, ensuring consistency in design direction and practice across RIB's product teams. The Enterprise design team is primarily based in Germany, with two satellite designers located in China and India. A strong interest in AI-driven experiences, technical curiosity, and the ability to work effectively in a highly international environment are essential. Key Responsibilities
UX Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate a clear UX vision and strategy for the Enterprise team, ensuring alignment with business goals, user needs, and the broader RIB design direction. Product Improvement & Modernization: Drive the continuous improvement and modernization of the RIB 4.0 software and broader Enterprise product line. Own the end-to-end experience across Enterprise products, ensuring consistency, coherence, and quality of UX patterns, interaction models, and visual language. Design System Governance: Collaborate with the design system team and work in close collaboration with front-end leads and architects to maintain and evolve design standards across the platform, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with frontend architecture. Team Leadership & Coaching: Lead, mentor, and grow the Enterprise design team, primarily based in Germany with satellite designers in China and India. Support the professional development of team members in alignment with RIB-wide frameworks. Cross-Functional & Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Work at the intersection of product, design, and engineering, partnering closely with PMs, developers, and other departments. Maintain regular alignment with the Head of UX – Unify to ensure a coherent design practice across teams. Research & Testing: Drive the research strategy and lead UX research activity, including usability testing and ongoing discovery, ensuring data-driven design decisions for a mature product. Operational Excellence & Data Literacy: Contribute to design ops, roadmap prioritization, and process improvements for efficient delivery. Play an active role in establishing a data-informed design culture — including helping to define, implement, and interpret the right analytics and tracking foundations — so that design decisions can increasingly be grounded in real usage data. Requirements
7+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, including lead-level roles. Proven track record of improving and evolving established digital products through multiple product lifecycles. Strong expertise in Lean UX, Agile, and design systems. Solid understanding of Product Management principles and ability to influence roadmap decisions. Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools; familiarity with research and testing platforms (e.g., Dovetail, Maze). Experience with JIRA and Confluence. Comfort working with product analytics — able to define meaningful metrics, work with data tools, and translate usage data into design insights, even in environments where analytics infrastructure is still being established. Strong interest in AI-driven design and ability to work in a tech-forward environment, including AI-assisted workflows. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in international teams across Germany, China, and India. Willingness to travel for on-site workshops, team offsites, and management meetings — including visits to India, China, and locations across Europe. Language requirements: Fluent in German and English. Experience in SaaS or the construction industry is a plus.
