The Associate Category Manager – Facilities, EHS & Construction role has the responsibility for strategic category management leading negotiations and purchases for the entire organization. The Associate Category Manager – Facilities, EHS & Construction has the critical responsibility of managing and supporting business needs with internal partners to identify and manage a supply base to deliver value across all SBUs.
Identify, engage and align with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality or other business partners) to capture category requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality. Responsible for multi-year strategy development, execution of Indirect Procurement processes, and supplier relationship management Responsible for building and managing strategic supplier relationships through a formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to improve supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, productivity, and innovation Lead the development and negotiation of contracts through the Contract Lifecycle Management process while maximizing value and minimizing risk Partner with Regional and Global Procurement teams to ensure delivery of productivity, cost avoidance, and cash flow Risk Management: Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance Expected travel requirements are 10-15%
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field. ~2+ years of procurement / sourcing experience, ex: consulting, purchasing / buyer, and/or analyst experience. ~ Communication Skills – Exhibits enthusiasm, influences customers, represents Procurement with SBU leadership, presentation, and messaging skills (understanding the audience) Project Management – Collaborates with cross-functional leaders to align objectives, manages global project portfolio and oversees overall implementation. drives this knowledge into short and long-term strategies. Problem Solving
- Understands customer expectations; supports team problem-solving and corrective action plan implementation. Relationship Management
– Creates collaborative environment with cross-functional peers, assures regular/appropriate two-way communication flow, builds/maintains relationships with industry peers and supplier leaders, and reinforces lead on voice to the supply base. Change Management – Develops and utilizes change management tools to educate business on key strategies and business objectives to support the vision of indirect procurement.
Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $No
Sales Commission Eligible: The actual compensation will depend on elements such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation. Additionally, benefits may vary depending on the region, business alignment, union involvement, and employee status.
