Gallagher Affinity is looking for a Solutions Architect to help shape and deliver technology solutions across some of our most important strategic initiatives. Reporting to the GGB Americas CTO, the team handles platform selection, app rationalization, AI solution planning, divisional data strategies, and will assist divisional IT, as needed, on technical solutions. In this role, you will take high‑level business ideas and transform them into practical, scalable technology solutions. You will work across business and technology teams to design solutions that are aligned to enterprise standards and built for long‑term success. This is a highly visible role that sits at the center of business strategy, architecture, and delivery, offering the opportunity to make a direct impact on large‑scale transformation efforts. This role can be fully remote/virtual/work from home and you can be based anywhere in the US.
Design and Deliver Solutions
Lead the architecture and solution design for complex initiatives across the business
Turn business needs into clear, actionable technology designs and roadmaps
Support major initiatives such as system integrations, platform modernization, and application consolidation
Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize technology platforms
Partner with the Business
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand priorities and translate them into technology solutions
Act as a trusted advisor on solution approaches, platform decisions, and vendor selection
Help guide the technology direction for key transformation initiatives
Ensure Alignment and Governance
Present solutions in architecture and design review forums to ensure alignment with enterprise standards
Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, data governance, integration, and scalability
Partner with enterprise architecture teams to maintain consistency across the organization
Collaborate Across Teams
Work closely with engineering, product, data, and infrastructure teams to bring solutions to life
Partner with external consulting and delivery teams to support execution
Align with architects across the organization to drive shared capabilities and standards
Drive Innovation
Evaluate new technologies and identify where they can create value for the business
Lead proof‑of‑concept efforts to test new ideas and capabilities
Promote modern architecture approaches, including cloud‑based and integration‑first designs
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in solution architecture, software development, or enterprise systems
Strong understanding of system design, integrations, and cloud‑based technologies
Experience leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives
Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment and collaborate across business and technology functions
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate delivery status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership, executive stakeholders, and technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Salesforce platforms or similar enterprise systems
Experience with .NET, PHP, SQL
Experience with AI‑enabled engineering tools and platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT, and the ability to apply them effectively within software delivery practices
Experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries
Familiarity with compliance, security, data protection, and audit considerations relevant to enterprise technology delivery
Experience supporting system integrations or business acquisitions
Familiarity with enterprise architecture governance processes and structured design review boards

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
