The consultant will partner with the Solution Architect, project leadership, IT teams, business stakeholders, security, and compliance teams to develop and evaluate two cloud‑based solution options. The role requires strong experience in architecture‑focused analysis, requirements management, process improvement, stakeholder facilitation, data governance, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Solution Architect to develop and compare two cloud modernization options.
Gather, analyze, prioritize, and document business, functional, technical, security, integration, data, accessibility, and compliance requirements.
Translate business requirements into technical and non‑functional requirements.
Assess current applications, integrations, workflows, supporting systems, documentation, and operational constraints.
Document current‑state and target‑state processes and identify business, operational, training, and change‑management impacts.
Develop and maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix for both solution options.
Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, architecture discussions, process reviews, and solution‑comparison sessions.
Prepare meeting minutes, presentations, decision logs, action items, risks, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.
Translate complex architecture, security, integration, and operational concepts into clear business language.
Compare solution options based on performance, scalability, security, availability, supportability, cost, risk, and business alignment.
Support data‑governance, records‑management, compliance, and high‑level data‑migration planning.
Assist with project planning, deliverable reviews, milestone tracking, knowledge transfer, and project closeout.
Produce accurate and accessible documentation for business, technical, and executive audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting government or public‑sector modernization projects.
Experience with public‑facing transactional or regulatory applications.
Experience evaluating cloud architecture options and total cost of ownership.
Knowledge of legacy‑system modernization, data migration, accessibility, and AI use cases.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, Jama, or similar tools.
Certification such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI‑PBA, PMP, SAFe, Azure Fundamentals, or equivalent.
Location Requirement Candidates must currently reside in Washington State , preferably in Olympia or the greater Seattle area, and be available for in‑person meetings as required.
