Reporting to the Sales & Marketing VP, the Regional Sales Managerwill lead, plan, and direct regional sales activities to accomplish sales goals within the budgeted expense targets
.
Major Areas of Accountability:
Responsible for developing and executing a regional sales plan which will identify and lead to a rapid penetration of Nexen's prospective customers for all Nexen product lines
. Capable of evaluating the Regional Sales teams that are supporting a particular territory within the region. This includes hiring and terminating independent representative's sales contracts. Also utilizes a system of evaluating and hiring talent. Develops relationships with Nexen's key customers (OEM and Distributors). This includes existing customers as well as prospects. Responsible for forecasting fiscal Sales budget goals, with the expectation of
growth
. Provides coaching for the team, which includes one-on-one time with individual team members. Utilizes a system for evaluating and developing team members.
Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business, Marketing, or related area. MBA or Master's degree a
plus
. 5 or more years of Sales Management experience in motion control or a related engineering field (Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics)
.
Previous experience working with independent sales representatives -
preferred. Comfortable and accustomed to using a selling
system Experience with high-tech market segments such as factory automation, additive manufacturing, food and product packaging, and life-sciences. High customer service orientation, enthusiasm for sales and technology, and passion for dealing with customers and internal team members
. High level of team spirit, self-assured demeanor, adaptable, and
resilient. Must have the ability to travel
40% of your time
. Great communication
skills. Capable of developing and growing long-term professional
relationships
