Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
Compensation Range: $210k - $230k
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain UNIX and/or NT based platforms.
Manage user accounts, perform system back‑ups, and maintain system configuration files.
Install and configure hardware, operating systems, and commercial software packages.
Develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies, server configuration and consolidation, and verify health and status of IT infrastructure.
Provide support for enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, e‑mail services, security protection mechanisms, and interoperability of UNIX and NT based systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or five years of full time computer science work that can substitute for the degree, plus ten years of demonstrable experience in system administration and support of a large client‑server based IT enterprise.
Industry recognized professional certification may substitute as one year experience.
Fundamental understanding of operating systems and familiarity with UNIX or NT commands or utilities at the user level.
Experience with installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems, and commercial software packages.
Ability to develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies, server configuration and consolidation, and verification of the health and status of the IT infrastructure.
Ability to provide support for enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, e‑mail services, security protection mechanisms, and interoperability of UNIX and NT based systems.
HPC‑Specific Qualifications
Installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting and administration of multi‑vendor servers running Red Hat or SUSE with direct attached or FC SAN storage or SSDs.
Experience distributing computing tools such as ReS, LSF, and SLURM.
Familiarity with HPC farm systems, HPC MPP clustered systems, front‑end servers and special purpose devices.
Knowledge of IBM or HP blade servers with FC/SAS/Network back‑end.
Experience with multi‑vendor filesystems such as XFS, GPFS, and Lustre.
Pre‑factory, factory, system integration and acceptance testing during procurement of HPC systems.
Valid RHCSA or higher Red Hat certification and valid VMWare certification.
IAT Level II certification required.
Candidates with Lustre experience highly preferred.
