Our Support Office operates from the 7th floor of the Intact Building, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin 16.
The Centric Health Finance Team supports the Group's operations across Ireland, the Netherlands, and Germany, covering a wide range of financial activities including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll, Banking & Treasury, monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and statutory audit compliance.
As the organisation continues to expand, the AP function plays a vital role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and financial control across all regions.
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable function, supporting the company's growth across multiple regions.
You will work closely with our finance team and colleagues across medical practices in Ireland, the Netherlands, and Germany, ensuring that AP processes are accurate, compliant, timely, and aligned with internal controls.
You will work with a small team to coordinate workload distribution, support system improvements, and drive operational excellence within a high-volume, fast paced environment.
This position requires strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and a commitment to continuously improving systems and processes.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, practice managers, and colleagues across international regions.
Specific Job Details: Position Title: Accounts Payable Specialist Contract: Permanent Working Hours: 37.5hours, Monday
- Friday Location: Centric Health Head Office, Floor 7, Intact (RSA) House, Dundrum, Dublin 16 D16FC92 Key Responsibilities Invoice Processing & System Management Manage the full workflow of invoice processing through Continia OCR, always ensuring accuracy and system integrity.
Maintain vendor templates and ensure correct configuration within Continia and MS Business Central.
Assist with processing large volumes of invoices (approx.
3,000 per month), ensuring they are registered, coded, approved, and posted efficiently.
Oversee the timely downloading of invoices from online portals and supplier systems.
Ensure compliance with coding standards, cost centre accuracy, and invoice description requirements Monitor and improve invoice processing turnaround times.
Purchase Orders, Approvals & Controls Manage the purchase order (PO) process, ensuring alignment with internal controls and company policy.
Ensure approval hierarchies are followed and PO matching processes correctly.
Regularly review workflow bottlenecks and escalate issues where necessary.
Provide guidance on PO usage and policy compliance to practice managers and internal departments.
Vendor Setup and Ledger Maintenance Maintain the accuracy and integrity of supplier data across systems.
Ensure vendor ledgers remain accurate and up to date.
Resolve supplier account discrepancies promptly and professionally.
Query Management & Stakeholder Engagement Serve as a key point of contact for internal colleagues, supplier and external stakeholders Ensure suppliers receive a professional, timely, and customer focused experience.
Work collaboratively with Practice Managers, Regional Managers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
KPIs, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Prepare and report on Accounts Payable KPIs, including processing volumes, approval delays, turnaround times, and compliance metrics.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, automation, and accuracy.
Optimise use of Continia, Business Central, and other tools.
Support audits and internal control reviews, ensuring strong documentation and compliance.
Cross Functional Support Collaborate with the AR team, Banking team, and wider Finance function to support month-end close, yearyear-end audits, and cross-functional projects.
Assist with ad hoc financial tasks and reporting as required.
Act as a subject matter expert for invoice processing and AP system usage across the organisation.
Skills & Qualifications Required Experience & Skills Minimum 5 years' experience in Accounts Payable, including at least 1-2 years in a senior AP role in Ireland Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to analyse large data sets Experience with Continia and Microsoft Business Central (NAV) is an advantage Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident engaging with suppliers and senior stakeholders Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and problem-solving ability Energetic, positive, and solutions-oriented approach Strong interest in automation, efficiency, and system optimisation Must be living and working in Ireland at the time of application, with a valid work permit that requires no sponsorship Benefits of Working with Centric Health Pension: Company match of 5% employee contribution (monthly).
