to support cutting-edge R&D initiatives. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and fabricating hardware used in advanced robotics and data collection environments.
This is a highly interactive position requiring daily work with robotics systems, VR equipment, and prototyping tools in a fast-paced lab setting. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and thrives in a build-test-repair environment.

Pay Rate:
$25-$28/hour (W2) + Benefits & PTO
What You'll Do
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial robots and electromechanical systems to minimize downtime
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and reliability
Operate 3D printing tools (FDM/SLA) and slicer software to produce replacement and custom components
Assemble printed parts into functional subassemblies using hand tools and hardware
Partner with data collection teams to quickly resolve hardware issues, swap broken components, and keep devices charged and deployment-ready
Track inventory of spare parts, consumables, and fabricated components; document repairs and recurring failure trends
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lab and hardware workspace
Perform active, hands-on work throughout the day, including standing, moving, and working with equipment such as VR headsets, printers, and tools
What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience repairing robots, drones, or similar electromechanical systems
Solid understanding of mechanical systems, actuation, and basic electronics (motors, sensors, batteries, wiring)
Experience with 3D printing workflows (slicer software, printer operation, post-processing)
Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and repair protocols
Comfortable using hand tools, fasteners, and adhesives for assembly and repair
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Ability and willingness to perform physical, non-desk-based work for extended periods
Nice to Have
Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Onshape)
Soldering or light machining experience
Experience supporting a robotics lab, hardware operations team, or data collection environment
Exposure to firmware diagnostics, SDK tools, or basic scripting
Degree in robotics, engineering, or a related field
