The Corporate Integrity team seeks to ensure that integrity and ethical conduct are the foundation of our company's culture and guide everything we do by proactively managing conduct risk and empowering associates through education. As a Quality Assurance Associate on the Corporate Integrity Governance team, you will help deliver an industry-leading compliance and ethics program that produces well-managed and audit-ready outputs from all department workstreams, including the following critical programs: (1) Conflicts of Interest (COI) disclosures, (2) Gifts and Entertainment (G&E) disclosures, (3) Ethics Program management, (4) Internal Fraud & Controls Program, and (5) The Office of Corporate Investigations (OCI). General Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive, fact-based quality assurance reviews on work products produced in support of Corporate Integrity programs and processes. Perform execution of key quality assurance reviews, including providing input to planning and testing, as well as identification, development, and documentation of exceptions related to quality assurance reviews. Execute monthly targeted detective control testing for applicable compliance requirements. Manage testing schedules to ensure all tasks and reporting are completed within established timeframes. Analyze data from multiple sources and systematically document the work and results. Establish and maintain strong relationships with Compliance Advisors and Lines of Business, as needed. Assist in communicating results to Compliance Officers and Lines of Business, as needed. Manage the Event and Issue lifecycle, including timely scoping of breakdowns (anomalies) and record creation in Fuse, using established processes and standards. Identify and drive continuous process improvement opportunities to streamline department processes and increase quality by reducing defects and waste. Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate is an experienced quality assurance professional, who is ready to join a talented team of compliance professionals and investigators to work as a cooperative and productive team member. A successful candidate will be an active listener and have experience spotting issues and proactively identifying thoughtful solutions. Candidates must be self-motivated, demonstrate flexibility in responding to changes in assignments and job responsibilities, and have the ability to maintain positive working relationships with business partners across the company. Finally, candidates must be able to comply with all organizational and professional ethical standards. Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification. At least 1 year of Quality Assurance experience. At least 1 year of Experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience related to fraud investigations or Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) related investigations. 1+ years of experience in conducting fraud investigations or AML/BSA related investigations. 1+ years of experience in compliance controls testing or compliance monitoring. 1+ years of experience as a compliance advisor in a compliance department. Strong problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills. Strong communication skills. At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $80,100 - $91,400 for Compliance Advisory Specialist I Richmond, VA: $72,800 - $83,100 for Compliance Advisory Specialist I Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
