Position Summary

Working in support of the Medical Devices US Sales Division, theCapital Service Contract Analystwill interface with Sales, Sales Management, Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance, OEC and Legal to apply business management principles and financial concepts that maximize the company’s performance against sales and profit goals and minimize risk.  Position will support the following Business Units: Electrophysiology (EP)and Coronary (COR). The ideal candidate must proactively research, analyze, and interpret data to produce substantiated recommendations and to work effectively in a high-pressure, high-demand sales support environment. TheCapital Service Contract Analystwill direct the overall processes for contract origination, preparing formal written proposals,analyzingand developing servicecontractsrenewals.  

Primary Job Function:

  • Work independently to provide financial,businessand consultative support to the Field Sales Organization related to capital equipment contracts. 

  • Support Field Sales Organization in formulating and negotiating contracts and capitalequipmentconfigurations in conjunction with legal, contractcomplianceand management tofacilitatepositive outcomes.

  • Ensures thetimelyreview, detailed financial analysis, and administration of sales requests for capital equipment.

  • Demonstrated advanced skills in Excel as customized strategic analysis will need to be developed for deal modeling and customer-facing analytics.Proficient in the use of Word and PowerPoint.

  • Analyzescustomer’s capitalfootprintto compose service proposals,quotationsand executable contracts from approved templates, at times based on input from Enterprise Accounts and Sales Management.

  • The ability to articulate key conclusions resulting from this analysis and make recommendations isrequired.Counselthe sales team to ensure the request is consistent with the business strategy supported by sales,marketingand senior leadership.

  • Generates contracts and amendment responses from standard and customer templates. Performs document analysis and completes written responses to product and service questionnairesrelated to RFP submissions, and other related commercial agreements.

  • Review of customer redlines,modifiesgeneral contractual language forcustomerspecificprogramsand seeks final approval.  This includes ensuringappropriate vettingthrough other departments which may include legal, privacy, OEC, tech services, security, finance, riskmanagementand customer service amongst othersMust be able to appropriatelydeterminethe correct department for review, talk through customer requests and associated risks as well as incorporate responses into contractual terms. 

  • Ability to negotiate terms directly with customers. 

  • Works closely with contract compliance to assess performance to current contracts,coordinate onnon-complianceresolutionsandgeneratescontracts/amendments to document resolutions.

  • Understands internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve processes and services.

  • Identifiesand routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient and best business practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness. 

  • Manages communication and awareness of pricing and contractual obligations with all levels of internal and external customers.

  • Solves complex problems, exercising sound business judgment to make recommendations based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

  • Complies withU.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.  Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

  • Facilitates cross departmental (pricing, customer service, finance, legal) coordination and performs as an effective liaison between the field sales force and internal operations.

  • Proactivelyanticipatesneedsof the field sales force and developsviablesolutions for meeting goals andobjectives.

  • Abilityto work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively prioritize multiple tasks is essential.

  • Ability to think outside of the box and develop creative solutions to enhance departmental goals andobjectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

  • 3-5+yearsexperiencein contract analysis, financial analysis, business analysis, or sales operations with financial analysis and modeling experience.

  • Expert-level Excelproficiencyto support complex pricing and contracting analyses.

  • Manages and analyzes large, multi-source datasets (Salesforce, CRM, ERP, contract management systems) with strong data governance discipline

  • Contract development experience in a medical related field and familiarity writing and editing legal contract language.

  • Advances contracting analytics through A.I.and automation, acceleratingcontract review, pricing insights, and reporting while applying advanced analytics for forecasting, trend identification, and anomaly detection, and continuously improving processes through adoption of emerging technologies.

  • Operates effectively in high-visibility situations with competing priorities and tight timelines.

  • Organizational skillsand ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Maintains strong attention to detail in a high-volume, fast-paced contracting environment.

  • Interpersonal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to listen, deal with unresolved issues,delaysand unexpected events, and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

  • Must have the knowledge and ability to extract data from multiple information systems on an ad-hoc basis. 

  • Ability toidentifyinnovative solutions to solve complex problems, based on analysis of multiple sources of information.Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret data.

  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.

  • Builds scalable, audit-ready tools that support deal review, redlining, andapprovalworkflows.

  • Partners with commercial teams to evaluate deal structures andoptimizeprofitability.

  • Delivers concise, data-driven narratives to support approvals, escalations, and strategic initiatives.

  • Communicates complex financial and contractual concepts clearly to senior stakeholders.


The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
