POSITION SUMMARY The Content Strategist translates merchant priorities and seasonal business goals into integrated content plans that support catalog, email, social, paid media, site, SEO, contributor, and video channels. This role partners closely with merchandising, creative, marketing, and production teams to shape seasonal campaigns, define content direction, and ensure cohesive storytelling across customer touchpoints.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Build seasonal POVs, messaging frameworks, and campaign narratives
Translate merchant priorities into structured content plans
Define asset maps and channel requirements
Develop contributor and influencer briefs
Partner with creative and video teams on production planning
Contribute to evolving content workflows and planning processes
Review content and campaigns for strategic alignment
What success looks like
Seasonal campaigns launch with clear direction and cohesive storytelling
Content plans support multiple channels and customer touchpoints
Contributors and creators receive thoughtful briefs and guidance
Content opportunities are identified proactively throughout the season
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
Experience in content strategy, editorial planning, content marketing, or campaign planning.
Strong ability to translate business priorities into structured content plans and messaging frameworks.
Demonstrated success collaborating cross-functionally with merchandising, creative, marketing, and production partners.
Familiarity with SEO-informed content planning and identifying content opportunities that support business goals.
Strong communication, organization, and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Outdoor, lifestyle, retail, or consumer brand marketing experience preferred.
Salary range for this position is $60,000 to $90,000 DOQ
