Job Overview You will be a Senior Software Engineer on one of our weapon Internal Research and Development (IRD) teams at Lockheed Martin. Development on these teams is to provide an initial design for subsystems and provide hardware demonstrations for usability into larger programs. Typically these are small multi-functional teams working towards a common goal of providing a new classified technology for existing weapon systems. This position is onsite in Orlando, Florida. Responsibilities
Develop Embedded Software
Integrate algorithms into C/C++ applications
Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Embedded Software technology
Experience with object-oriented design
Proficiency in C++
Experience with Linux or VxWorks operating systems
Must have interim Secret clearance to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Desired Skills:
Multi-core and multi-threaded programming
Hardware/Software integration
Algorithm implementation
Ability to work with multi-disciplined teams
Experience working in large code bases
Knowledge of design patterns
Version control with GitLab
Full software life-cycle development experience
Scrum methodology
Safety critical software experience
Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance. A company-sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Work Schedule 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
