Role Description In this role, you will: Partner with a cross‑functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love Leverage a broad stack of technologies—including Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more—to reveal insights hidden within huge volumes of numeric and textual data Build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation Use your interpersonal skills to translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals Ideal Candidate Customer‑first mindset. Enjoy analyzing and creating, and share the passion to do the right thing for customers. Creative and thrives on defining big, undefined problems; asks questions, pushes hard for answers, and shares new ideas. Technical: comfortable with open‑source languages; has hands‑on experience building data science solutions using open‑source tools and cloud computing platforms. Statistically‑minded: built and validated models; understands confusion matrix, ROC curve; experience with clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field) and 5 years of experience performing data analytics Master's Degree in a quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration and 3 years of experience performing data analytics PhD in a quantitative field and 3 years of experience performing data analytics Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field and 3 years of experience in data analytics, or PhD in a STEM field At least 1 year of experience working with AWS At least 3 years of experience with Python, Scala, or R At least 3 years of experience with machine learning At least 3 years of experience with SQL Benefits Competitive annual salary range varying by location ($147,100–$201,400).
