This position requires building and maintaining strong customer relationships, understanding their needs, and offering customized solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. The representative will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing a sales territory, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and support. Success in this role directly impacts the company’s market presence and profitability by expanding the customer base and increasing sales volume. Ultimately, the External Spare Parts Sales Representative acts as the face of the company, representing its values and commitment to quality service in the United States market. High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required. Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in spare parts, automotive, or industrial sales. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record to travel within the assigned territory. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish a good relationship with diverse clients. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets. Preferred degrees: Experience in using CRM software and sales tracking tools. Knowledge of automotive or industrial parts and their applications. Previous experience working in a B2B sales environment. Proven ability to negotiate and close complex sales agreements. Additional certifications related to sales or the automotive industry. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients through regular in-person visits and communication. Identify the customer's needs and recommend the appropriate parts and solutions to effectively meet those needs. Manage a designated sales territory by planning routes, scheduling appointments, and prioritizing client visits to maximize sales opportunities. Prepare and deliver sales presentations, negotiate prices and terms, and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets. Collaborate with internal departments such as inventory, logistics, and customer service to ensure accurate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. Keep detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence using CRM software. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments to provide well-founded recommendations to clients. Skills: The required skills, such as communication and interpersonal skills, are essential for engaging customers, understanding their needs, and building trust during face-to-face interactions. Time management and organizational skills enable the representative to efficiently plan their sales routes and prioritize customer visits to maximize productivity. Knowledge of parts and industry trends allows the representative to offer accurate and relevant product recommendations, enhancing customer satisfaction. Proficiency in CRM software helps track sales activities, manage customer information, and analyze sales data to identify opportunities. Preferred skills, such as negotiation and knowledge of B2B sales processes, further empower the representative to close deals effectively and contribute to sustained business growth.
