Department Overview The Wildfire Mitigation (WM) organization oversees PG&E’s wildfire risk strategy, associated mitigations and operations, establishing the strategies, tactics and best practices that support wildfire resilience across the communities we serve. In collaboration with Operations leadership and other business units, WR guides the company’s strategic direction for preventing fire incidents, developing and executing the comprehensive Wildfire Mitigation Plan, and strengthening trust with regulators, communities, and key agencies. To meet these goals, WR delivers operational mitigations such as Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings (EPSS) and Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS), performs advanced risk analytics and ignition investigations, fosters community and regulatory partnerships, and coordinates rapid ignition response activities.
Position Summary The Business Analyst, Wildfire Resilience plays a crucial role in supporting PG&E’s wildfire risk reduction efforts. Specifically, the Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting the build-out of a wildfire resilience public-private partnerships function within the Wildfire Mitigation Organization, intended to be a cost-effective new tool in PG&E’s “toolbox” to improve safety, affordability, and environmental outcomes for customers within PG&E’s mitigation portfolio. The Business Analyst will manage processes and tools to facilitate and enable wildfire resilience partnership activities, as well as conduct research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case‑by‑case basis related to these factors.
Bay Minimum: $82,000 Bay Maximum: $124,000
CA Minimum: $78,000 CA Maximum: $118,000
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Job Responsibilities
Performs analysis on moderately complex data models selecting from various reports and data options
Contracts and grant agreements submission and management within PG&E’s Sourcing and payment systems
ArcGIS dashboard management
Periodic project quality assurance site visits
Event and field visit coordination
Internal data collection for project scoping and valuation; determines data needs, collects data, selects from different analytical techniques to achieve desired data outcomes
3rd party grant applications support
Metrics tracking
Compliance reporting and data request support
Project management support
Outcomes reporting in partnership with PG&E’s Wildfire, Risk, and Sustainability teams
Qualifications Minimum:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
Job-related experience, 2 years
Desired:
Knowledge of different analytical methods, approaches and tactics
Full understanding of fundamental analysis and what-if modeling and how different factors affect business outcomes
Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
Organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.

Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Search. May also require experience and knowledge with PG&E specific applications such as SAP, ArcGIS, SRM, Concur, HR SAP, CATS, Visio, and SharePoint.
