The Production Team Lead is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of the production team to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant manufacture of products.

The role focuses on achieving production targets while maintaining the highest standards of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC).
The Team Lead will provide frontline leadership, coaching and support to production operators while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Production Leadership Lead and supervise production operators during the assigned shift.
Allocate labour and resources to ensure production schedules are achieved.
Monitor production performance and ensure daily production targets are met.
Escalate production issues that may impact quality, delivery or customer requirements.
Ensure effective communication and handover between Day and Evening shifts.
Production Operations Ensure all manufacturing activities are carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions and standard work.
Monitor workflow across all production areas to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
Support the Production Manager in achieving departmental KPIs including: Safety Quality On-Time Delivery Labour Efficiency Scrap Reduction Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Ensure all production documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance to resolve equipment and process issues.
People Leadership Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and support to production staff.
Train and develop team members to ensure competency and compliance with manufacturing procedures.
Monitor attendance, timekeeping and employee performance.
Promote a positive team culture based on accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Support performance management activities in line with company policies.
Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System, GMP requirements and customer specifications.
Support investigations into non-conformances and implementation of corrective actions.
Assist with internal and external audits as required.
Ensure full compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements where applicable.
Maintain accurate production records and shift documentation.
Health, Safety & Continuous Improvement Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety procedures.
Ensure production areas maintain high housekeeping standards in accordance with 6S principles.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality and operational efficiency.
Ensure preventative maintenance activities are completed as scheduled and report any equipment concerns.
Qualifications 4-5 yrs + experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning.
Good working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Experience within Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Electronics or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of ISO 13485, GMP and FDA requirements.
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement experience. xyswxtq
