To become a Ryder employee you must:Pass a Ryder Drug TestPass a DOT physicalPass a Ryder road testPass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 yearsAdditional ScreeningSome positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations and replacements, fluid checks and top‑offs, basic inspectionsFollow standard procedures to assist with basic diagnostics and identify common issues with guidanceWork alongside and support a more senior‑level technician in diagnosing issues and completing repairs, while developing technical skills through hands‑on experienceConduct general shop or field support activities, including equipment setup and clean‑upMaintain accurate documentation of work performed including work orders and service notesAdhere to all safety, environmental, and compliance standardsMaintain a clean and organized work environment including proper disposal of materials and chemicalsInteract professionally with team members and support positive customer experiences when neededRepresent Torque/Ryder to establish a relationship with the customer and learn general knowledge and understanding of the Torque products and servicesEnsure proper maintenance of all service, safety, and environmental records required to meet and/or exceed corporate, federal, state, and local government mandated requirementsAccountable for key maintenance measurements established by company policy related to the inspection and performance of PMs, brakes, tires, wheels, including any maintenance items directly associated with the safety of the customerPerform other duties as assignedRyder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
