Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end hardware design of embedded electronic systems (analog, digital, RF) Define and develop next-generation sensor platforms incorporating low-power, wireless and IoT connectivity Design robust products for harsh industrial environments Collaborate with firmware, cloud, and data teams to enable edge intelligence and connected services Evaluate and integrate communications technologies (LPWAN, cellular, Bluetooth, satellite) Contribute to system architecture decisions including power management and battery optimization Support development of products enabling predictive monitoring and AI-driven insights Ensure compliance with ATEX, IECEx, EMC, and global regulatory standards Drive design for manufacture (DFM), cost optimisation, and reliability Engage with customers to define specifications and deliver solutions Requirements: Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline 7+ years experience in embedded hardware design Strong experience in analog and digital circuit design Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers Knowledge of low-power / battery-operated system design Understanding of communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART) Experience with wireless technologies (Cellular, Bluetooth, LoRa) CareerWise Recruitment (In Search of Excellence) Established in 1999, CareerWise Recruitment specialises in recruitment of management and technical professionals for the life sciences, ICT, engineering, food and agri sectors.
