This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering a high-quality, customer-focused HR service that supports employees and managers across the full employee lifecycle.
The successful candidate will lead a team of nine HR professionals and administrators, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, compliance, and service innovation.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys modernising processes, improving efficiencies, and embedding best-practice HR service delivery within a complex organisation.
Reporting into senior HR leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring the People Services function acts as the central gateway for all HR queries and transactions, delivering consistent, compliant, and efficient support while leveraging data and insights to inform decision-making and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the People Services function, fostering a high-performance, customer-centric culture focused on service excellence and accountability.
Manage a team of HR administrators and HR generalists, ensuring clear responsibilities, strong performance management, and ongoing development.
Drive operational improvements, standardisation, and process optimisation across HR service delivery.
Implement and continuously improve a tiered HR service delivery model, ensuring effective first-contact resolution and appropriate escalation pathways.
Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, HR policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control mechanisms.
Translate HR policies and employment legislation into practical operational processes and frontline guidance.
Ensure compliance with employment law, regulatory requirements, GDPR, and organisational policies.
Maintain audit readiness through effective risk management, process assurance, and regular policy reviews.
Oversee HR systems and case management processes, ensuring data integrity, process efficiency, and system optimisation.
Partner closely with Payroll to ensure the accurate management and reporting of employee data relating to joiners, leavers, absences, and organisational reporting requirements.
Analyse HR metrics and operational data to support workforce planning, organisational effectiveness, and informed decision-making.
Identify opportunities for automation, Lean process improvement, and service enhancement across the function.
About You You are a strong and credible HR leader who combines operational expertise with a passion for continuous improvement.
You enjoy bringing fresh thinking, challenging inefficient ways of working, and creating scalable processes that improve both employee experience and organisational effectiveness.
Essential Requirements Third-level qualification (NFQ Level 8) in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' relevant HR experience, including significant experience in: HR Operations, Shared Services, or HRenvironments.
Managing teams within a service delivery or customer-focused model.
Strong practical knowledge of Irish employment legislation and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated experience operating in a complex, high-volume HR environment with competing priorities.
Proven track record of process improvement, operational excellence, and service transformation.
Experience developing and implementing governance frameworks, SOPs, and compliance controls.
Strong HR systems experience, ideally including PeopleXD (formerly CoreHR) or similar HRIS platforms.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical capability with experience producing HR reports and workforce insights.
Experience working closely with payroll teams to ensure accurate employee data management.
Highly Desirable CIPD qualification.
Formal training or significant practical experience in Lean methodologies and continuous improvement.
Experience leading HR transformation or service improvement initiatives.
Experience managing case management or HR ticketing systems.
