This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with hospitality or catering experience to assist in a fast-paced service environment.
The successful candidates will support the catering team with food preparation, service, and general kitchen and front-of-house duties to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the day.
Location: Just outside Cashel, Co.
Tipperary Employment Type: Temporary (1 Day)
- July 4th Salary: €16 per hour About the Role: As a Temporary Catering Assistant, you will support the smooth running of daily catering operations, ensuring guests receive efficient, welcoming service and quality food.
You will work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of cleanliness, food/ plate handling, and presentation, contributing to a positive and safe environment for both guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities: Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional, friendly manner.
Assist with basic food preparation and handling in line with hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness of service areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment.
Clear tables, wash dishes, and manage waste disposal throughout the shift.
Follow cleaning and sanitising procedures to ensure a safe, hygienic environment.
Support the setup and breakdown of service areas before and after meal times.
Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure smooth, efficient service.
Respond to guest queries and requests promptly and courteously.
Key Requirements: Experience in a catering, hospitality, or customer-facing role.
Strong customer service skills with confident guest interaction.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, busy environment.
Good teamwork and collaboration skills with a flexible approach.
Effective communication skills and good spoken English.
Reliable time management and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
Understanding of basic cleaning and sanitising procedures.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to operational standards.
Desirable Skills: Previous experience in institutional or contract catering (e.g.
hotels, events, canteens).
Familiarity with food safety guidelines Ability to adapt quickly to changing service demands and priorities. xyswxtq
