Asa Long-Term Substitute Behavior Coach at River Rock Academy, you'll provide critical support to students by modeling positive behaviors, fostering a consistent and structured environment, and encouraging the development of decision-making and self-regulation skills. In this role, you will help ensure continuity and stability for students during periods of staff transition, playing an essential part in their academic and personal growth. What You'll Need High school diploma or equivalent
Genuine passion for helping children and adolescents with behavioral or learning needs
Calm, caring, and patient approach, with a strong sense of professionalism
Excellent communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills
Basic computer proficiency for documentation and progress tracking
What You'll Do Provide direct mentorship and consistent guidance to students to promote positive behavior and decision-making
Maintain accountability and close supervision of students throughout the school day
Support classroom management, assist teachers, and help create a structured, safe learning environment
Monitor, document, and report student behavior and interventions using school-approved systems
Respond to behavioral or crisis situations using Safe Crisis Management practices
