THE POSITION The Chief Executive Officer will report directly to the Chair and the Board and will provide strategic leadership across all aspects of ICCM's operations.
This pivotal executive appointment carries overall responsibility for the organisation's strategic direction, corporate governance, financial stewardship and operational performance, ensuring the continued sustainability and growth of ICCM's bespoke mutual insurance funds.
The successful candidate will lead the delivery of high-quality insurance solutions while maintaining strong relationships with members, brokers, underwriters, legal advisers and other key stakeholders.
The role encompasses responsibility for leading insurance renewal negotiations, overseeing claims management activities in partnership with professional advisers, advancing risk management and health and safety initiatives across the membership, and ensuring the highest standards of governance and regulatory compliance.
In addition, the Chief Executive Officer will oversee financial planning, investment and property management activities, lead business development initiatives to strengthen and expand the mutual funds, and foster a collaborative, high-performing organisational culture that supports continued service excellence and sustainable growth.
REQUIREMENTS The successful candidate will be an accomplished executive leader with significant senior management experience at Director level within insurance, risk management or a closely related sector.
They will possess a proven track record of strategic leadership, commercial and financial management, and delivering organisational growth with full profit and loss responsibility.
A comprehensive understanding of captive insurance structures, risk financing arrangements, governance and the relevant regulatory framework will be essential, together with substantial experience in claims management, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.
Applicants will demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication and influencing skills, combined with sound commercial judgement, strong analytical capability and an unwavering commitment to governance excellence.
A thorough knowledge of Company Law and corporate governance in Ireland is required.
Experience within the concrete, construction or related industries would be advantageous and will complement the successful candidate's ability to build trusted relationships across ICCM's membership and wider stakeholder community.
