Operating one of the largest independently owned fleets in the country, we are seeking to appoint an experienced and ambitious Business Development & Key Account Manager to join our team in Dublin.
This role is ideal for a driven individual with a passion for generating new business, developing existing customer relationships, and delivering exceptional account management across a portfolio of key accounts.
Our Future Our growth strategy is ambitious and focused on: Increasing turnover and market share Standardising systems and processes Defining ownership of key accounts Pursuing mergers and acquisitions opportunities As part of our Business Development team, you will play a key role in helping us achieve these objectives.
The Role Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, you will operate across the Distribution, Logistics and Freight divisions of our business, servicing a diverse range of industries throughout Ireland.
Key Responsibilities Identify, develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
Target specific market sectors and identify growth opportunities.
Prepare and present sales quotations and proposals.
Conduct ongoing reviews of the existing customer base and business mix.
Strategically manage and develop assigned key accounts.
Build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers.
Drive account development and vertical selling opportunities within existing customers.
Protect and grow existing business relationships.
Act as a point of escalation for assigned customers when required.
Collaborate closely with colleagues across Operations, Finance and IT.
About You You are highly motivated, goal-oriented and resilient, with the ability to work proactively and independently.
You will have: A proven track record of selling services at management level.
Demonstrated success in creating, generating and closing new business opportunities.
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
Excellent attention to detail.
Outstanding communication and relationship management skills.
A professional, reliable and trustworthy approach, with a commitment to integrity and accountability.
Experience Required Ideally, you will have: Extensive experience selling services within the supply chain and logistics industry.
In-depth knowledge of logistics operations in Ireland.
A proven ability to develop and manage key customer relationships while delivering measurable sales growth.
