About the job Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems.
SRE ensures that Google Cloud's services-both our internally critical and our externally-visible systems-have reliability, uptime appropriate to customer's needs and a fast rate of improvement.
Additionally SRE's will keep an ever-watchful eye on our systems capacity and performance.
Much of our software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation.
On the SRE team, you'll have the opportunity to manage the complex challenges of scale which are unique to Google Cloud, while using your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis and large-scale system design.

Core Networking SRE's mission is to design, develop, and manage policies and systems to improve the reliability of Google's production networks.
Specifically, the team works to enhance the reliability and scalability of Google's production networks, focusing on the data center and wide area network (WAN) production network.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Ireland: €150000

Responsibilities Design and safely introduce new products and features to data center and WAN networks.
Consult and contribute to enhancements in Google's software defined networking (SDN) stack.
Drive strategic efforts to improve mean time to detect (MTTD) and mitigation (MTTM) for incidents.
Protect ML network reliability by improving ML network observability tooling, and provide emergency response for the ML network related incidents.
Drive standardization in network management tools, workflows, and processes to minimize human involvement and simplify emergency response.
