Summary This role supports a dedicated customer’s business as a Senior Business Analyst on the Shopper & Consumer Insights team. The individual is responsible for high‑quality analytics, storytelling, and insight delivery that supports multiple retailer customers’ focused strategies and presentations. The emphasis is on turning data into insights that influence decisions, not just on running reports.

Responsibilities
Analyze syndicated and geodemographic data to uncover shopper trends and support experiential initiatives.
Work with client teams to understand business needs and deliver insights aligned with strategic goals.
Create compelling presentations with clear narratives, visualizations, and apply storytelling techniques and branding standards.
Contribute to team best practices and process enhancements; share knowledge and collaborate across functions.
Create data automation and reporting that drives operational and business development efficiencies.
Provide weekly sales summaries based on extracts from a major retailer’s internal reporting platform.
Conduct test/control store testing for post‑program analyses.
Analyze business needs/requirements and recommend implementation of new/existing products, processes, and systems.
Identify client organization strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas for improvement.
Utilize various data systems, extract raw data, and conduct in‑depth analysis on key performance indicators.
Define major business opportunities by prioritizing information to support the goals of clients, customers, and the company.
Consult with internal and external customers to present data and provide actionable insights to assist with meeting business objectives, tactics, or marketing strategies.
Perform project management duties: execute schedules and deadlines, monitor progress, coordinate activities, resolve problems, and ensure timely deliverables.
Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
Provide business updates and track overall key performance indicators for management and executive teams.
Manage and maintain ongoing strategic and collaborative relationships.
Manage, train, and mentor a team to achieve skill development and professional objectives.
Allocate workload of direct reports to ensure client satisfaction.
Create best‑in‑class practices for the team to follow.
Ensure team fully understands the company’s business and industry challenges.
Perform other job‑related projects as needed.
Qualifications
4‑6 years in retail analytics or category management (not pure financial/data‑only analytics).
Data access/usage experience with: Circana, Nielsen, and shopper loyalty platforms (preferred).
Advanced Excel skills for reporting and scorecards, including data quality control, formatting, and outputs.
Experience with Power BI and Databricks (preferred).
Strong communication and storytelling ability.
