The Role We are at an exciting point in Fitzgerald Powers journey, and as part of our ambitious growth plans, we are looking to welcome a Senior Associate to our Corporate Finance (CF) Team.

What will you do? Reporting to senior management and working as part of the CF Team, the Senior Associate is responsible for the preparation and delivery of CF assignments in accordance with the quality assurance standards of the firm, ensuring that budgetary and timeline targets are met in conjunction with maintaining the firms standard of client care.
Assignments are varied within the CF Team, cover a wide variety of sectors within the Irish SME space and include the following: Company valuations Buyer due diligence Vendor due diligence Vendor assist and exit readiness planning & strategy Buy and sell side advisory Capital raising, both debt and equity Financial modelling Key duties include: Organising, planning, execution and completion of all engagements in accordance with the firms agreed procedures.
Capturing and reporting all information and KPIs relevant for the purposes of the firms Key Performance Management.
Communication with client and staff throughout the assignments in a clear manner to ensure the assignment is completed in the most efficient manner.
Updating partner / directors / senior managers on hours input to client work on monthly basis & conducting comparison to budgeted hours.
Raising any issues during any assignment that may lead to a budget overrun.
Contributing to the creation and implementation of improved operational systems within the firm.
Input to suggestions for additional billing opportunities within the allocated client portfolio.
Ensuring that all client engagements are completed in advance of internal firm deadlines and client expectations.
Training, mentoring and supervision of team members including reviewing of files and clear communication of required changes/updates to staff member.
Daily logon and use of workflow management system to capture all live status of projects.
Conduct any other duties or tasks associated with role.
Work with partner and team to ensure all KPIs are achieved.
Ensure work is carried out in a professional and timely manner in line with company values in order to assist in meeting client expectations.
What will you bring? Qualified Accountant with ambition of operating at a senior level.
Project Management experience.
Exceptional communication & presentation skills, both written and verbal, to express technical and non-technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Solutions based approach.
Excellent commercial judgement with the ability to identify risks and opportunities.
Excellent organisational skills to meet goals and set priorities.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, to specifically include Excel and PowerPoint.
Be proactive and organised and handle uncertain environments.
Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

Previous people management experience, directing and overseeing work of team members.
