This Renewable Energy Executive role offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency, decarbonised heat, bioenergy, climate action or energy research.
Based in Dublin, Dundalk, Cork or Sligo, this 18-month contract will suit professionals with strong technical, analytical and project coordination experience who are passionate about Ireland's energy transition and the future of sustainable heating and low-carbon technologies.
Location: Dublin, Dundalk, Cork or Sligo Salary: €53,071 Contract: 18-month fixed-term contract Key Responsibilities Support research programmes relating to renewable energy, decarbonised heat and bioenergy.
Deliver technical analysis and evidence-based insights to support climate and energy policy development.
Coordinate projects, manage deliverables and work with multidisciplinary teams.
Produce high-quality technical reports and communicate findings to a range of audiences.
Contribute to research and guidance supporting the decarbonisation of heat across residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
Engage with stakeholders across government, industry, academia and communities.
Represent the organisation at events, workshops and site visits nationwide.
Essential Requirements Degree (Level 8 or higher) in Environmental Science, Engineering, Energy Systems or another relevant STEM discipline.
Minimum three years' relevant experience in renewable energy, decarbonised heat, energy efficiency, energy systems or related sectors.
A relevant Master's degree may be considered equivalent to one year's experience.
Strong analytical and research capabilities with the ability to assess technical options and evaluate data.
Experience managing projects, coordinating activities and delivering against deadlines.
Experience preparing technical reports and presenting information to varied audiences.
Desirable Requirements Experience analysing low-carbon alternatives to fossil fuels, particularly in the heating sector.
Project management experience and qualifications.
Knowledge of renewable energy, decarbonisation and energy efficiency policy frameworks.
Experience with data analysis, modelling tools, spatial analysis or techno-economic assessments.
Knowledge of emerging research, technologies and developments across renewable energy, decarbonised heat and climate.
Experience engaging with government bodies, industry partners or community stakeholders.
Experience contributing to policies, strategies, roadmaps or technical guidance.
Irish language skills.
Experience delivering excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement.
