Nurse Practitioner (NP)
or
Physician Assistant (PA)
to provide inpatient oncology rounding and care management as part of a dedicated team of specialists. About the Role In this vital hospital-based position, the APP will collaborate closely with oncologists and hospital staff to manage the care of admitted oncology patients. You ll play a key role in supporting continuity of care, evaluating patient needs, and implementing treatment plans in a setting that values quality, collaboration, and compassion Round on inpatient oncology patients in a hospital setting
Conduct clinical assessments, order appropriate diagnostics, and manage treatment interventions
Collaborate with the oncology team, nursing staff, and hospitalists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner using the EMR
Serve as a liaison between the inpatient team and outpatient care providers
Support patients and families through complex treatment journeys with professionalism and empathy
Qualifications
Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Virginia
Oncology experience
required
(inpatient oncology experience strongly preferred)
Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and bedside manner
Passion for serving oncology patients with dignity and respect
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Salary:
$125,000 $145,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
