Job Summary We are a family owned and operated business seeking a skilled mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diesel engine repair and an understanding of heavy equipment operation. This role involves traveling to the job site, diagnosing and repairing various types of heavy equipment, farm equipment, 18 wheelers, and automotive, powertrain, drivetrain, hydraulics, and related components, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment. Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals. Repair or replace components such as suspension, undercarriage, hydraulics, and other essential parts. Operate heavy equipment as needed for diagnosing and testing repairs Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed. Collaborate with supervisor to ensure timely completion of projects. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role. Strong knowledge of diesel engine diagnoses and repair techniques and heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems and schematics. Ability to operate cranes and other heavy machinery safely Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
