Sales Manager Requirements & Qualifications
Experience in fire protection sales management is required
Prior experience leading or mentoring a team is required
Experience leading other sales managers is required.
A bachelor’s degree/Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
Familiarity with CRM platforms and strong computer skills are required
Understanding of sales pipelines, forecasting, and territory management
Strong conflict resolution and negotiation abilities
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to motivate, lead, and develop team members
Sales Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and supervise all sales department staff, including recruiting, training, and performance management
Set and track performance expectations, including KPIs like revenue and conversion rates
Oversee department budgeting and participate in monthly and annual financial procedures
Drive business development through contract negotiation, proposals, and relationship building
Manage the full sales process from lead follow-up to securing new contracts and renewals
Collaborate regularly with operations and finance teams to align strategies
Execute sales and marketing initiatives such as cold calling and telemarketing
Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure high standards through periodic field inspections
