Purchasing Manager - electrical components

My client, a Global Automation Manufacturer and a leader in its target market is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead the day-to-day purchasing activities at their Fulton, NY plant. Will manage a 7 person team of buyers and expeditors dedicated to creating an efficient and effective supply chain. This is a mission critical role that will have high impact and visibility. Requirements:

• B.S. Degree in Business or an Engineering discipline is required.
• Must have at least 8 years of procurement experience in an OEM or Engineered product environment. Experience purchasing electrical components, electro-mechanical parts or devices, machined parts, and/or assemblies is strongly preferred.
• Must have experience working for a manufacturer; preferably a heavy equipment manufacturer. Low Volume / High Mix expertise is strongly preferred.
• Must have at least 5 years of supervisory / management experience in purchasing, procurement, and/or supply chain management.
• Must have strong ERP experience.
• Certifications in APICs, Purchasing Management a plus.
